This is a Trane XV95 furnace with a 5 ton blower. It has the capability to have the blower moter adjusteded according to the ventilation ducting size. It has a soft start when starting to blow air through ventilation system. With the technoligy of Trane and now with computers. The furnace can record every time it starts and stops, so it will come on quicker each time.

  • Variables are not what they are cracked up to be. Motor and replacements repairs eat up the savings quickly.

  • @amichalak10 Amen to that! This is a HORRIBLE installation!! Trane should not sell this installer their products!!

  • Wow, what a crappy install. Plywood return, old return duct, oh, and I love the dryer vent gas line. Beautiful furnace, not-so-beautiful install. Who the heck installed this?!

  • What is the purpose of this video, to "Show-off" his install?

  • Nice dryer gas line on that thing. That should be black pipe all the way to the gas valve. Who installed that thing?

  • Where is the belt? it slipped and i just wanna stop the squealing!!!!

  • Terrible install. I work for a Trane dealer. We would instantly fire any installer that did this. One of the worst I have ever seen.

  • I've seen this happen a lot and it's because the homeowner doesn't want to spend the money to put this on a proper metal box. Think about it, if you put this furnace on the floor and ran a drop elbow you'd never get the door open to the blower. I'm not crazy about the install either, but since this is a retrofit; sometimes you have to make do.

  • Nice furnace no doubt!, I'm sorry but that is one poor install. PLYWOOD return plenum, was this the low bid? What's up top?

  • I would say about a half inch static on the return side. I hope we checked heat rise .
