I had the privelege to meet Alan Shepherd at Redstone arsenal about 1988, he gave a wonderful presentation, was full of piss and vinegar. You could see in him that old thing the original Mercury, Gemini, and Apollo astronauts had...it was called: "the right stuff"...God bless John Glenn, and all those who did what others had not yet done. I love them still!!! They were and are true American Heroes!!! thanks for the memories...Gianni

I am not a huge fan of John Glenn politically, but respect his views as differing as they are from mine. However, I am proud of our space program. And I love John Glenn anyway. He symbolizes a time when Americans were brave and NASA had vision. Now we are going to buy seats from the Russians because the shuttle is through. Please, John G. was right, build some more shuttles til the next generaton of flying orbiters is ready. God Speed John Glenn...typed with tears in my eyes, we remember
