It may be a better deal if you are looking at cost however, it is HUGE compared to the nice compact version when you just want to run to the range. I have seen the large bag and I feel it is just too big for my needs and for others that want something less bulky.

Thanks, great review, I'm in the market for a Range Bag. Kind of disappointed that it doesn't come with a "brass bag" at least for it's size. But its actually listed for $29.99 right now. I don't really care for the carry-on strap but good to know, thanks for mentioning that.

I wanted to see the compact bag up close before purchase - and you've pretty much solved that problem.

Although the larger bag seems to be a better deal for the buck, I agree, this compact one fulfills the need of smaller bags (a bigger car w/ more cup holders isn't always what you're looking for)

Is there a range bag that is step smaller than this one? I think that bag is too big for someone wanting to carry a single firearm.
