@100ThomasFletcher Agreed. Hahn's timing and overall approach in these solo works jives with me more than any other interpretation I've heard. Her tone and direct yet exquisite subtleties are unmatched.

@100ThomasFletcher They are both great, but Szeryng's musicality is hard to beat. What he pulls out of the writing, the timing of his vibrato and why, there is purpose to every moment. I love Hilary and have performed with her several times, and she makes me cry when she plays her Bach encores, but Szeryng is deep. Very deep.

@jshaman I believe that Hahn's version is far superior and also a bit more subtle which makes it sweeter to listen too

Bravo...ne plus ultra. Forget the syrupy sweet renditions of Perlman, or the mechanics of Hahn.This is truly Bach. Szeryng played these on the organ before the violin...just for the sake of authenticity.
