BriGuy's Rock Band 3 Light-up Keyboard Mod

To help my fingers find the right keys I modded my Rock Band 3 keyboard with a series of colored LEDs under the keys. I can switch between the full 15 key set and the 2 x 5 key set and it can either be powered from a wall adapter or go portable with a built in 9 volt battery.

Great job with the mod man!- Stellar idea! just how I like em!

Would you give me permission to make a 3D model of this for a digital contest? The theme is Cool Gadgets- and I find this to be Exactly that! (it would be a good challenge for me to model, texture, render, and maybe animate as well! :P)

@soulfeltart Absolutely! Part of the reason why I do these mods is to inspire others. So, of course, have fun with it. There are some more pictures in the link in the video description which might be helpful to you. Let me know if there is anything else I can do to help you out.

@EmoDrummer131 No. The game itself does a great job of teaching you the basics of playing keyboard (although in a totally new and different way than the traditional method). My mod adds colored lights that correspond to the colors of the notes in the game to give you an easier reference point where to go with your fingers. I believe you can find actual keyboards not accosiated with Rock Band) that will light up with the next note in whatever song is programmed into them. Good luck!

Great job, great job. I was absolutely furious with how hard pro keys is when I bought my keyboard because I play piano and keyboard, so I've only played it like 3 times. If I had one of these, I'd be a pro by now.
