With all due respect to Giles, (wonderful work on The Beatles Love BTW) Revolution is not "Chuck Berry on overdrive". The opening riff is identical to 1956's Pee Wee Crayton's Do Unto Others. Identical. 13 years before Revolution.

@The0Black0Irish the Beatles did not play B5 power chords and certaintly not on this song! just watching the video will tell you that!
-
@userboy6 that's a bold claim. How is he going down the wrong road?

There's plenty of free how to play videos out there. Not sure why it's a surprise that this constantly gets voted down.

i've been playing giutar for forty plus years. Revolution is not that hard to play. most Beatle songs are easy. they were not into making things hard for themselves, more into making great music. i am still surprised after all these years how many people do this stuff wrong and i can't understand why. just these two seconds told me this guy is going down the wrong road.

yeah that helps -.-

@PyroSpiral5397 It's a Paul Reed Smith. They put those inlays on most of their guitars in the $1000 plus range.
