Hey, this is great!!!!
Do you guys have a little instruction how to do this?
cheers

This time I've told a way to send data from Adat formatted outputs into ModFXs' 9pin and vice versa. (costs appr. 25BPF). I didn't try yet...
And then there is an undocumented feature to all ModFX with envelope follow or triggered mode, I found myself. Does not work for the Bitrman unfortunately.
Which circuit bending forum do you consider the best?
Thank you

Yes, the Bitrman gives you 2 bitcrushing effects to choose from and you can sweep it manually with the "Bittrness" knob.

Mr. Retrosynth,
If you do find the time, a guide to modifying this little beast would be most welcome!

thanks

Holy shit, I really love it. Thanks for your work. I mailed to you directly, but... To find out more about the 9pin connector I released one ModFX review a day at harmony central (I got 12 of them)asking Alesis US and Germany daily for details. And today I got answer, from Germany again. So now I know even more secrets about them. I'll show you mine, if you show me yours ;-) Thought of establishing a ModFX group at yahoo, but first I'll post at the CB-fora. Which one'd you suggest? THX. InstruJ.

I'm not sure what secrets you think there are. All the ModFX line is based on identical hardware and PCBs. The only difference is the code programmed into the microcontroller and the front panel bezel (and associated switches and LEDs) It's a WavefrontSemi AL3102 DSP with a Philips 8751 to scan the pots and switches and program the DSP. The 9 pin connectors are connected to the DSP's extra serial input and output channels and allow chaining of effects without extra D/A and A/D conversions.

Greetings,
Have you finished a safe CV mod for public consumption?
CV control would be sooooo cool. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't had time. This mod should only be done by someone with some decent electronics background and understanding. You can start by lifting the center leg of the pot and using that as the input. I suggest optoisolating it. You may or may not need a pull up resistor depending on what type of optoisolator you use.
