Balancing Scooter / Skateboard

A balancing scooter using a go-kart wheel, a 400 Watt 24V DC Motor, an OSMC and a PIC microcontroller. A simple PID control at 100 Hz balances the assembly.

Is there any electronic braking when you lean back?

The control is completely symmetrical, so you get braking when you lean back.

You don't need sooo much torque! Less than half of what you have would be fine and you could go twice as fast

The extra torque is needed for hills, steps and when the battery starts to flatten.
