White water rafting is carried out in a dynamic and uncertain environment. On the 8th March 2010 a client fell out of a River Valley raft, and experienced a leg entrapment, with the weight of water pushing his head under. Quick action by the river guides on the trip averted a near tragedy. Watch and learn how they did it, and what lessons can be taken from this. River Valley website www.rivervalley.co.nz

  • No name yet I'm told. The foal will be brought in soon for initial handling, and I'm sure the best name will present itself then. All the best.

  • Very good, excellent processes in place as usual river valley and on to it staff. Most important, (and I rafted over 10 years ago three times at river vallery and still remember) if you fall out, keep your feet up in a rapid. Its basic.

  • Thanks Dominic. Hope to see you back sometime. And yes, it is basic!
