Flying lesson

Nagano's wings were clipped all her life, and she never really picked up the art of flying. With the passing of one-winged Gari, and the addition of a fully flighted pigeon to the house, figured it was about time she learned.

Her flight feathers are now fully grown out, and she's been working on the flying thing for a few months. It's a lot of work for an out-of-shape bird, and so far she still prefers to walk to her destinations.

@imatcarletonuni Feathers actually grow out pretty quickly (the clipped feathers fall out and are replaced by new ones), so you have to continuously clip their wings over time... with Nagano, I'm no longer clipping her wings, so the feathers have all been replaced with fully grown out feathers.

I found Brisby on the side of the road, she fell out of the nest as a baby, but she's doing great now. :]

@raysofgreys She was born in Nov 98, but her wings have been clipped all her life (as far as I've learned)... Nagano is getting better at the flying part, but still has issues with both navigating and landing. :]
