You might enjoy Game 12: The Secret of the Old Clock. The puzzles were rather challenging. The "story" take place in 1930 which really gives you the essence of Nancy Drew. Message in a Haunted Mansion is a good one too. Both of them do have villains!

Great, thank you. I do think I'll enjoy the classic game series more (the ones based on books) and of course The Secret of the Old Clock is special for me because that was the first book in the series. I'll be playing Secret of Shadow Ranch next, but will keep this one in mind, too.

and i think u should play nancy drew secret of the shadow ranch!!! It's hard and I sill can't beat that one, but it's really exiting!!!

Well, if you want one based on the books, I think you should definitely try out The Secret of the Old Clock (I didn't enjoy The Secret of Shadow Ranch very much because there were many parts where it was not very clear what you had to do next). However, I own and have beaten them all and my top 5 (in order) are:

1. Shadow at the Water's Edge (#23)

2. The Curse of Blackmoor Manor (#11)

3. Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake (#7)

4. Treasure in the Royal Tower (#4)

5. Danger on Deception Island (#9)

I honestly thought this game was a bit far fetched at the end.

I suggest you play the Phantom of Venice next.

It has so many exciting plot twists, fun activities, interesting characters,

gorgeous graphics, and features the Hardy boys and Ned.

I think you'd really enjoy it.

I have not played HAU but have seen many reviews complaining of it. So it's possible that you will find many other games in this series more enjoyable than this one. Just a heads up :)

Hey! I absolutely agree that the earlier games are the best. One of my favorites is Treasure in the Royal Tower, which is very much like the book. Please continue to post reviews of what you think of the games! Although I have all of them, it is a lot of fun to hear other's opinions. Also, I have reviews for the newer games, so check them out if you get a minute!

If you pick up another ND game I highy reccomend one of the earlier ones. Those have been the best. My absolute favorite is Treasure In The Royal Tower. It's wonderful and really has some delightful characters in it! The final scene and curse of blackmoor manor are good ones too.
