You're right- traditionally the Mojave flute is a 4 hole, but sounds almost too much like a melancholic Shakuhachi flute, so i understand the addition of adding 2 holes- i have one, and it might be my favorite rim blown flute, but i can't say i like it more than my Anasazi or Hopi flute I just absolutely love the way Scott August expresses so much feeling into his music, and the way it sweeps me back to a bye-gone era of the S. W. Native people

    Pilamaya Scott;-)

  • i was wondering a mojave is 4 hole and 6 hole is what a anasazi or 6 hole rim blown flute but still sounds awsome scott

  • i was wondering scott mojave has 4 holes but watching you it seems that there are 5 holes not 4 can you tell me if thats a 5 or 4 hole mojave thanks for the song love it

  • I never get tired of listening to this piece Scott. I've been enjoying my Mojave and Anasazi flutes so very much. I hope I will see you again at Flute Quest 2011. Thank-you for the lessons and thank-you for breaking ground in so many ways. I truly appreciate you.

    Sincerely,

    Pat

  • Very nice..Call me traditional, but I think I prefer the standard 4 hole mojave...The simplicity of the instrument.... like the wind & desert.

  • Scott is fantastic! And so is that Flute made by Geoffrey Ellis of Earthtone flutes! I have 6 different ones from him and they are all Excellent!!!

  • It's definitely time for this musician to to be seen and heard by many thousands of people and not just in bookstores. This guy is amazing!

  • Would u be willing to play that in a place 4 spirits in the Mojave Desert? ; )

  • Very nice Scott. The Mojave six sounds fantastic. Very nice.
