  • @mackdv1st lol google translate doesnt work for arabic

  • @00Juwan00

Well you are right, for my opinion, Turkish Leaders handshakes TO MUCH with America and sometimes forgot there REAL friends.

  • P6/ Syria and Libya on the other hand made Arab public anger focus on Russia and China but no surprise at their lakc of concern for Arab lives and aspirations for freedom, as opposed to Turkey's initial stance on Libya which was a real shock and dissapointment. Thankfully it has changed 180 degrees now so no problem and they did much better for Syrians so no problem :)

  • P5/ Libya free of 42 years brutal erratic one man rule (wont become a democracy fast either Turkey + asian examples show this takes decades) is safer for Europe + better investment opportunity, while crackdown would create another Libyan diaspora in West like in 70s and 80s but on larger scale + massacres on mediteranean shore then go back to hugging Gaddafi=on wrong side of history as they were in Egypt and Tunisia.

  • P5/ Libyans know West isnt guided by higher morality but interests, they waited till it seemed Gaddafi had lost control before speaking eg Italy and Germany rather not intervene as had very lucrative deals with Gaddafi +he was cooperated on immigration and ceased his terrorist funding.

  • P4/ We didnt see such passion from Erdogan when Zawya was slowly crushed and mosque razed to ground, nor this magical solution that West prevented. Other Western libyan cities not covered by media like Zwara or even cities with only peaceful protests Mizda Sabrata Alkums Gharyan but free of government control never mind Tripoli were 1000s were arrested and hundreds killed (videos of protests in Tripoli on youtube).

  • P3/ Erdogan gave very unexpected speeches eg condemning French 'immoral' bombing of the tanks on the outskirts of Benghazi. He said intervention prevented Turkey solving issue when in fact some soldiers had already entered city (video on youtube of guys with sticks facing tanks about 200 died) it was literally last minute intervention.

  • P2/ It just hurt and shocked people that non-Muslim countries acted to prevent outright wiping out all opposition in country (State TV 'crush the cockroches to death' or more humanely cleansing= 'all who dont want khamis's father (Gaddafi) go to Egypt you are no longer Libyans') while Turkey condemned and saw itself as morally superior too.

  • @dirtykeskin P2/After Gaza Arabs saw Turkey as willing to stand by victims, and our history means we Libyans have a rosy picture of even Ottoman empire compared to other Arabs (despite Gaddafi schools teaching the opposite).

  • @dirtykeskin P1/ This was before Turkey changed its stance on Libyan revolution and Erdogan was e.g repeating gaddafi claims of terrorists/separatists. Libyan politicans stayed calm and pressed for change + promised Turkish contracts would be honoured but normal Libyans were enraged because they had high expectation. We had Arab public opinion on our side but Egytian military could not intervene and Saudi would not as wanted end to all revolutions.
