my understanding is hell was not created for satan & the likes .. but is just a place, void of the light... void of love .. void of all the heavenly things .. which .. would be hell ..

Also God apparently wants every single soul to get to heaven .. People in so called 'hell' is not Gods will at all .. Its down to each person to call to God (or Jesus).

Light & darkness are not two opposing forces.. darkness cannot be where there is light..

The Bible tells us that hell WAS created for satan and his demons, and not for humans. But if a person's life in his human body ends, without ever having his sins forgiven, his spirit will go to hell, because God will not allow one single sin to come into heaven. We carry our unforgiven sins with us when our bodies die. There's nowhere else to go but to either heaven or hell, after our bodies die.

We have all sinned so no one deserves heaven based on his own "good works", because not even a trillion "good deeds or works" will delete even ONE sin! Only God can forgive sins, and the way He has made is via Jesus and becoming Born Again. If a person is not Born Again, his sins are NOT forgiven, and he has NO spiritual link or connection with God!

All we have to do is to accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior and become Born Again! If we refuse, then we have discarded our ONLY way to avoid hell! The Bible says that no one is worthy based on their own merits, to go to heaven, not one! We take our unforgiven sins with us when our bodies die, so those unforgiven sins will send us to hell! No amount of "good works" will delete even ONE sin!!

Hell was created for satan and his demons, not for man. BUT since man falls for satan's temptations and sins, then he will go to hell right along with satan, who is now his master (due to sin). This is why God came to earth in human form as Jesus, to provide us a way to escape hell and go to heaven. That's why Jesus lived a perfect life, and then willingly allowed Himself to be tortured and killed, as a sacrifice for the sins of all humanity for all time.
