Josefina Aguilar is the most famous member of the internationally famous Aguilar family who create both traditional and delightfully whimsical ceramic figures. Along with the painter Rudolfo Morales (who died in 2001), they are the signature artists of the beautiful and stately Zapotec town of Ocotlan de Morelos, a 45 minute ride south of the city of Oaxaca.
