I was there & The director of the band of the Fighting Irish (Ken Dye) was also my High School Band Director! Notre Dame's Band of the Fighting Irish was the only visiting Band that ever gotten a Standing ovation from both the USC fans & the Student Section!

Total pwnage. Especially compared to the USC band's show- it looked like they were just walking randomly around the field, and their arrangements sucked.

FYI The Band Director of the Band of the Fighting Irish is a USC Trojan band Alumni & MY OLD HIGH SCHOOL BAND DIRECTOR Ken Dye! & it's a rarity to see a opposing school's band get a standing ovation from the home crowd! Even Stanford ,Cal & ucla's bands doesn't get a standing "O" like the Band of the Fighting Irish! It's gonna be another battle of the bands classic at South Bend when both USC & Norte Dame bands preform!
