This mission made me adore this racer. Great noise and utterly sublime handling on the unexpectedly tricky Sarthe Circuit
I did cut a few corners here by accident a few times. The high rate of acceleration and speed plays havoc of knowing when to turn. A few tips:
When going into the Dunlop Chicane, start braking the moment you fly past the blue & white turning sign (that's on the right-hand wall) just before the chicane, and accelerate out when you reach the first apex.
Never ever try to take the inside line when passing a car on the Mulsanne corner. It's better to start this corner from an extremely wide angle. The ideal speed here is about 90km/h, but it can be done at 100km/h if you use all of the pavement.
The Porsche Curves are tricky to do fast in an automatic. I think the best way is to listen to the revs. The low end of 4th is faster, but the high end of 3rd gear gives you that extra bit of control, that the low end of 4th gear doesn't.
The gear down indicator for the Ford Chicanes comes up a little too early. Start braking the moment you approach the rumble strips on the right. Then for the second chicane brake to about 110km/h.
For the most part the track surface is uneven, which will cause the car to bounce a lot. The Mulsanne straight in particular is quite bouncy, and the car does change direction ever so slightly. If you're extremely gentle with the steering you can keep the car under control.

@padmartin24502 I think you're comparing km/h to mph here, that's why.

How do you get your car to go that fast? Mine will only go in the upper 230 something.

Don't tell me you're going to use the 2J at LeMans. I'm telling you it's unlikely. There is no suspension setting that allows the 2J to track straight near the end of Mulsanne. It's too bumpy. I've tried everything and the 2J is of no use at Sarthe. The 2J needs a smooth, flat, short course to do it's thing. If it only had four speeds instead of three it would have doubled it's usefulness in GT4.
