  • Matthews is an idiot... the ambulance MUST pick you up and it never asks who is paying for it first!!!!!!!! I ought to know, I've had 5 or 6 rides myself.

  • This would have been a much more interesting exchange without that wombat-guy with the glasses interfering with the central dynamic between Matthews and McCotter. Good on ya, Thaddeus.

  • I was in Whitmore Lake yesterday for McCotter's Presidential announcement. Got to shake his hand and talk to him for a minute. A true class act and gentlemen. I may be persuaded yet to vote for him.

  • @zombies8u

    LMAO thanks you.

    Just found out last night.

But he is way to smart, funny, honest and straight forward to be Pres.

He's too good for that job sadly :(

  • @DasHelm McCotter for President. (fix'd that for ya) :)

  • Matthews doesn't get it. Obviously he is a progressive, and does not report the news. What is Matthews, besides overbearing?

  • McCotter FTW!

  • @drywater2k: oh yea.. and i understand that you would like to see war spending cut in favor of social programs.. but that has nothing to do with what we were talking about.

and, at the risk of belaboring the point, that is like arguing that your thief should use your stolen money to buy you toilet paper instead of.. q-tips. .....it seems to be missing the more pressing point.

  • @drywater2k: yes.. the thief is govt and the bandaid, in this particular argument, is the ambulance—or any govt goodie for that matter (including all of those that you just listed).

in other words, a "benefit" bestowed upon the victim of a theft that is funded by his or her stolen goods is not something worth praising. and it is certainly not hypocritical for the victim to accept those "benefits" as a form of recooperation... however feeble.

  • @drywater2k: i think you are missing the point. i am happy that an ambulance has arrived because i am *hurt*. none of that happiness is directed towards the fact that it was a government ambulance.

if a thief takes my money, and then i happen cut my finger... im pretty sure that i can be happy to receive a bandaid from the thief while still condemning the fact that he took my money... and expect NOT to be called a hypocrit!

    get it?
