Edit: This video apparently went public as I hit 200 subscribers. I guess that makes this a 200th subscriber video, even though there's nothing special about the video itself.

Super Broccentric: Game Genie Codes No One Knows is a collection of original and undiscovered Game Genie codes for the Super Mario Bros. platform games on the NES (excluding the Japanese Super Mario Bros. 2 / Lost Levels). All of these codes have been tested and recorded on a real NES, and are partially or completely original, depending on their usage and discovery. (E.g., some codes are combined with other known codes for exploration, and some are derived from others with similar spelling)

Keep annotations on for information about each code (and some commentary occasionally), or turn them off for "raw" footage. Note that the video is edited for time, and any jump-cuts that are not present in the actual game will be noted in annotations. The codes for Super Mario Bros. are recorded using a Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt cartridge.

  • but I can't afford an NES or a Game Genie...

    I'm stuck playing FCEUltra...

  • Unless FCEUltra emulates the NES perfectly, it won't emulate the codes properly. I wouldn't be surprised if it does manage to do that someday, but for now about 20% of the codes I have found actually work on both an emulator and the NES. Some of them are here, though...

  • LEANAA - SMG reference, anyone?

  • Except it's much easier to control.

  • that last code showed what happened to Mario after all those years eating mushrooms and flowers

  • And all those years of Bowser dumping toxic waste onto the inhabitants of the kingdom.

  • At the end xD queue Rasta star theme

  • Sorry, it's already up to 1003 views.

  • Not a chance... unless you're using a really large cartridge, like a 128K or something. And a POKEY chip for music.

    And a composite video adapter.

And something to correct the palette because a 2600 has a different palette than the NES.

Even the Atari 7800 would struggle with that.

But the Sega Mark I might work with it.
