  • I was student at unza and i know for a fact the library was stocked in the late 90`s and i have been a student in UK to be honest most of the college and universities here la behind unza you have to go off compass to do most your research in the UK. So i honestly this guy is just an idiot that probably doesnt even have a degree or has no education what so ever

  • Am sick and tired of these clowns who think the best way to say anything about Africa is to focus on negative issues. Marketing strategy huh? Go to Zambia and research extensively in every corner not the guard you claim you bribed. To all ya like this clown; Zambia is not 4 sale stop Marketing it if you are so shallow that it makes you biased to your selfish ambitions

  • this guy is a liar i am angry he say such things whixh r totally out.its a public library y do u have to bribe any one.

  • I am recent grad from UNZA... I think there is more you could have seen if you bribed the librarian and not the guard

  • Njaleni, I can tell from the vibe in your response that you've been to UNZA. I think sometimes when we see something like this, our hearts should be stirred up to do the right thing. I'm a Zambian born and bred and I also mourn our lack of books nearly at every level of education. I know there used to be a lot of books a long time ago but not anymore. The books in our libraries are outdated, that is if they have not been stolen or used to sell tomatoes and ifitumbuwa. Do the right thing.

  • It's funny how when anything negative is said about our country we become very patriotic even when it's true. In Zambia and Africa at large the majority of our people have not really grasped the sanctity of the written word. So instead of becoming defensive about this video, let's start to teach our children the importance of a book and I believe the church should be in the forefront with this instead of teaching some 2000 year old Jewish tradition.

  • Why did you have to "persuade the guard" to let you go around and film?

  • I think your this quick video clip is very insightful. Information is power.

  • You are really a very pathetic person that needs to get a life. Obviously you are very bitter about something, but don't take it out on our library. Get a life Moron.

  • I find your comments appalling. Libraries dont publish books in general. I was there until 1978 as I graduated from University of Zambia. It was the finest library I had ever been, modern, with the latest books and journals. Your assertion that there are hardly any books after 1969, save a few is plainly wrong, and I think malicious. I am not sure which stooge you had standing next to you, but it seems both of you were bitter about something. Perhaps you were barred from entering, hence the clip
