So, I was bored today and decided to make a movie. The point of it is basically to show any yoyoers who are new to the community that they don't need to buy a $100+ yoyo right off the bat. A $40 Yoyojam, and certainly other yoyos in this price range and even lower will be able to do exactly the same thing as an all-metal will. You make the yoyo. The yoyo does not make you.
I'm not saying you should not buy expensive metals, as certainly some out there (Cylw, Difeyo, Spyy, Yoyofactory) are worth every penny. This video is simply to prove that a yoyo is just as good as the hand it's held in.

See a high end throw has a great sleep time which will help you in that awkward stage of learning where it takes likes 2 minutes to master like 1/8th of the combo. If you have like a lower end one, it's a struggle to learn the trick. Yes, price isn't that important when you master it but it does count when learning.

This is probably true with the higher end yoyos, but you really feel a difference between the different low end ones. I personally think that the Peak's overkill.. is there a noticeable difference in play between them?

Oh yeah, there is definitely a noticeable difference between yoyos at the lower end of the price spectrum. Legacy, FHZ, PGM, etc. All of them play very differently from eachother, but all of them are capable of performing every one of your tricks. Lately, I've been greatly enjoying the Protostar.
