I just sat in one(Suzuki Every) today and it wasn't that small. Imagine taking a regular car and removing the console between the seats and than removing that space in the middle. I have 50in shoulders and a 38in waist at 6ft 1in and was totally comfortable.

Maybe it's too small for most Americans but not Asians.. and it's very famous in Japan, mostly known as kit car.

Alott of those car aren't Mini-van's but would be classed as a Super-mini's in the UK & Europe.
