Picaresque is an album by The Decemberists released in 2005 on the Kill Rock Stars record label. It was produced by Chris Walla of Death Cab for Cutie.
The word "picaresque" is taken from a form of satirical prose originating in Spain, depicting realistically and often humorously the adventures of a low-born, roguish hero living by his/her wits in a corrupt society.

@YesYouAreIgnorant if the song means a lot to me (which it does) and that line in particular strikes a chord, who are you to judge my decisions? there are people in the world with mom tattoos splattered across chests and forearms.. but they're happy and they like it because it fulfills some part of them. i understand you're trying to be helpful but c'mon.. i just posted a comment not to anyone in particular.

What a nice change of pace from my usual hardcore punk, for those of yopu who only listen to metal and punk ITS called diversity (and thats not an old, old wooden ship)
