  • @Spoofliferocks Adults normally moult once per year. You don't need to take them out either, the British Tarantula Society does not recommend handling your T at all, simply because if you drop it it could kill it. Also if your T had lived in the wild it would not have been handled by humans, so you are by no means depriving it of affection by not handling it.

  • Completely awesome video, I can see just how exhausting moulting is for a T and why it can kill them when they are old.

  • i love fish and reptiles and amphibiens but damn these creatures give me shivers haha but ive seen a lot of spiders and b.smithi is the most beautifull....also saw a blue/green one?? dont know the species name that was a beauty too...maybe when i get over it i add some spiders too my collection too....

  • @USMAI

    mature male ? :P

  • How many times do they do that in their lifetime? and if you get one as a pet can you just leave it in it's cage and feed it? or do you have to take it out? -shudders-

  • lol cause their cute, cuddly, fun, and playful :D but i guess some people like certain things and some people dont :p for example some people liking triantulas, insects, ect and some people being scared shitless by them xD sorry if my comment before sounded judgmental i guess at the time i wrote it i was probably freaking out from the video of the spider haha

  • How come you like kitties?

  • When a tarantula sheds their exoskeleton and becomes larger.

  • what is moulting? can someone explain it looks pretty cool!

  • the exoskeleton has not hardened yet. the fangs will turn black when they harden up
