Depends on depth, location, etc. Completely depends on how long the bulldozers run. My 1 acre pond cost quite a bit more (3x), but it is 18 feet deep and on a hillside so there was not a natural place for it already you could jam a damn across.

about $2500-3000 dollars.

How much does a pond typically cost to build(per acre)?

hey check the permaculture model for closing the loop on your nutrient flow (eg. the fish feeder) and using the principle of staking functions (like use of natural vegetation which could feed the fishermen ex. small community orchards on site) . thanks for the vid - water features are important, serve as great habitat, and have a multiplying effect in terms of production for the surrounding watershed.

what can I do to my pond that i had built to stop it from leaking . It's not leaking at the dam. So it's telling me it's leaking straight down. Using sodium bentonite clay they say may work but in my area i can't seem to find it in 50lb bags, which i can handle. Is there anyother thing I could use.

If you know what you are doing a clear water pond or lake can be designed to have trophy size fish. We are a group of Biologists who design ponds and lakes who do build clear waters that grow large fish without feeding the fish.
