  • @blueskiwi It's a Standel amp. Used by some others in the 1960's, Chet Atkins for example.

  • His face expression at 0:04. That is what music does to you. LOVE WES!

  • unlike a lot of jazz guitarists, wes never sounded like he was playing from a sheet. he didn't read anyway. his improv was always fresh genius. the man is in the angel band.

  • I mean those scales or whatever he is playing in his licks/solos are sick. He's got like a ton of them.

    He only read chords somewhat never single lines. Wes had an incredibile ear according to all the greats who worked with him. He'd say to learn a tune,

    Play it for me" That's all it took!
