Josh Rushing explores the other side of Washington, D.C., where citizens are taxed by but not represented in Congress, where the AIDS rate is the same as in Ethiopia, where poverty reigns and politicians look the other way.

This is civic journalism - reporting to bring about change.
Josh enters the story (helping the teen find a job), which is an item other type journalism avoids.

America's mainstream media is owned by only a few super-rich people. They're all in top 1% of US Population which owns 85% of the wealth. It is a shame that Democrats have no courage to make poverty an issue in America. Time's coming when nation will become destabalized as competition from other nations increases.
