Yahtzee Needs Your Cash, Apparently.

UPDATE: The battle is over, gentlemen. I commend those of you who helped get the shitstorm on the people that thought of this terrible idea. I also commend The Escapist for taking it down. Shame it took public outrage to do it, though.

July 28th:

Yahtzee not only is a terrible, dishonest, lackluster reviewer who complains too much, shows too little and gets paid too much, but now he is also a terrible excuse for a human being, too.

You see, he refuses to show up to PAX 2011 to meet his fans unless they cough up 20000 dollars to fly him and his posse FIRST CLASS to Seattle. I wish I was making this stuff up, but see for yourself.

This will make my RAR on him that much more of a priority. What a bunch of chiselers these people at The Escapist are. You'd think the ad revenue on their heavily trafficked website would be able to afford flying his ass to the con without having to dip into the charity of their fanbase... for shame.

August 2nd:

Well, the war is over. Yahtzee's reputation as well as the Escapist's has been tarnished by their greedy idea, and they sensibly saw fit to cancel it like the pilot of a potentially shitty tv show. It is over.

I used to be a fan of The Escapist and even Yahtzee's reviews. but I started realising that Yahtzee wasn't actually funny and that his 'sarcastic' opinions in his reviews were being taken seriously by a lot of gamers. I only used to visit the escapist for extra credits who got kicked in the nuts by them. Yahtzee earns a lot, this is shameful that he is squeezing his fans to pay his travel fees. Oh and to all the butthurt fans, shut up, you are $/£ to him, he does not care about you at all.

@Majorasword64 The only thing I enjoyed was the music CD. Everything else was half-assed garbage - especially the controls. It's been 5 years and they still can't perfect motion control gaming. What a joke. I'm fed up with Nintendo. From now on, I'll either buy their games used or pirate them.
