What is so courageous abot a man dressing like a girl? Seems like a sissy to me.

thank you so much for the truth, it was a transexual like me that threw a beer bottle at a cop and started the war,
transexuals have more balls than gay men by farrrrr
and gay men treat us like were second class and ther first class lol please,
when in reality we are braver, and get straight men only like they wish they can!!!!!!!lollll
unfortunatley very little has changed in 40+ years
i think homophobia will always exist, its best to just live your life and ignore them

thank you for this but some of these people were also Transgender

thanks so much for saying this, Im as guilty as any for falling such notions as ' sratight acting'... now Im in my 30s ( we know that means closer to 40 than 30 ;) ) I realise how stupid my attitudes were and that I had depressed a part of my character for many years. Hearing you speak makes me wanna go get that holy Communion dress i used to wear as a 7 year old and parade. I am also busy with trying to get your message to other gays. Especially on Gay chat site. We no longer need anonimity xxx

Here here.
As well as drag queens, the bar was also a hotspot for male prostitutes and homeless gay youths who spent the night in Christopher Park across the street. They couldn't care less about Judy Garland's death because for them, death was a very real thing in their lives (and many were too young to care about her). Other people who were there have also said that Judy Garland's death is not to blame for what happened, that that story is a myth.

it takes COURAGE and then some to be a drag queen or anything other than the brainwashed sheep who have no self identity but to fit in.
