  • I just purchased the hybrid 1 of this years model. Just a quick question...the hybrid 2 states that its more for mountain and road biking but this one says its more for commuting. So does that mean its not recommended to mountain bike with this model? I noticed insight 2 has some sort of flat free tires, which is different from that of the insight 1. I suppose thats the difference. How do the tires hold up though?

  • @chickioI86 -- I'm not sure what you mean by outer coats. You mean painting? Sorry. I should know. With this bicycle, and the video review, most people thought it was funny that just about every component has been replaced. So, it's not a very good review of the bicycle as it came with its stock components. I actually thought it was okay from the store, it's just I really like these other upgrades (seat, pedals, tires, brake pads, grips). Let me know what you meant by outer coats. Thanks.

  • @resourcesforlife the outer coats are custom too?

  • @douwex -- Right! :-)

  • @chickioI86 -- Regarding the tires. I don't imagine that any bicycle would come with these tires as standard equipment. I typically equip my commuting bicycles with run-flat or puncture-reistant technology. You can get a special coating inside the tire to protect the tube. Also, I really like having very high pressure capacity tires on a commuter bike. Like 90 pounds of pressure. It rides so much easier that way. So, these tires are a hybrid between street tires (with good traction) and race.

  • this tire is what insight 2 2011 has? I browsed through hybrid bikes, and that is the one I like the most, but it really like a "bad boy" bike because of it black color ... donnu what to choose. 2010 insight 1 imo has too thick body.

but if you can tell me if this has the same tire that would be a good thing because the tire is the second i'm looking after on 2011 insight 2

  • safety feature??????????? lol!!!!
