freedom is just a season

The song "Freedom is just a Season" tells the story of a soldier fighting at the front who writes to a friend and wishes to come home for Christmas, before his ill wife may die.
Actually, when this song knocked upon the door of my soul, I envisioned a Union soldier fighting during the Civil War, longing to be back in his hometown, somewhere close to Boston, MA. Yet, since I had no pictures at hand, I decided to use some drawings I've made for a project about WW1 and some pictures I took in Slovenia a couple of years ago and kind of switch the location of the story.
War is War, alas, wherever it is fought.

Autumn finally has come.
