In the US we have three-legged races, but if you can have three, why not have more?

I happened to turn on my TV to find this apparently huge event where elementary schools do a three-legged race... but with 30 students. And yes, they all have their legs tied together.

It's definitely the Japanese group mindset taken to the extreme.
