Note! You must insert a micro SD card into the DVR for it to record. Footage is stored on that versus the storage disk. Look just about the USB port and you'll see a slot to slide in the card.

I have a couple questions about this product...

1) How long should it take to fully charge it. I have had it pluged into a USB port for over 12 hours and the red status light has not yet quit blinking.

2) The instruction I received were very poorly written. Is there a better version somewhere?

@ekfletcher The directions are horrible, but don't let it discourage you. It shouldn't take more than a few hours. Have you tried using it yet? Whenever you plug it in to the USB port it will light up so don't think that just because the light is on that it's not fully charged. Put in the micro SD card and go try to record something. It takes a little practice to figure out how it works.

Hi, I bought this thing - overpaid like crazy versus what you said I should have paid. And it still doesn't work. The manual is an awful Engrish. Could you please post a more detailed video on how to make this thing work? Thanks!!

@SFSTIM2010 The manual is horrible. We'll get a more detail video uploaded soon. Have you inserted the micro SD card into it? It doesn't come with it. When you put that in and turn it on and the push the picture camera key button, it will buzz two times and then start recording. Also, next time you go to buy equipment like this - do some research, a lot of places will sell it at various prices.

hi there. ive just got the mini u8 but i dont know how to use it. the manual is in chines and their translation is not so understanding. could you please help me on the basics on how to use it please

@360quinton You have to insert a micro SD card just above the USB port. It's super hard to see it, but once you put it in there it will work. Just turn on and then push the camera key button. It will buzz twice for video and then should immediately record. I will admit it will take some practice.

@spygadgetsdotcom Thanks for the quick reply! I have only been able to get it to record for about 30 minutes before is seems go dead and will not record anymore. The motion sensor is either too sensitive or does not work. When I hit the motion button it records for a while before shutting off (5+ minutes). Is there a way to put it in motion mode with it immediately starting to record? If it’s the battery, is there a way to change the battery?
