A Successful Mission! K2 Charity Trek 2010 Raises £10,000
The inaugural Wild Frontiers Foundation charity trek to Concordia, the 'Throne Room of the Mountain Gods', was a huge success! Our intrepid group walked 230kms, trekked for 7 of the 15 days across the glacier, forced their way through unremitting blizzards for 3 relentless days & spent 4 nights sleeping on ice. They climbed from 3,000m to 5,000m, struggled across bolder fields, steep shale ridges and deep crevasses to earn every penny of the £10,000+ raised for the foundation, and in particular the remote Baleygon School in northern Pakistan. Thank you to all those who donated so generously.

schools are useless without jobs. These kids are going to manufacure what exactly and export what exactly: opium into herion is the only cash crop other than hashish. And even there the farmers don't get their "fair" share of a kilo going for a fortune once the risk of importation and distribution are "paid for".

Many thanks to you and your team sir for putting in effort for such a noble cause. At the same time it is utterly disgusting and shameful that our corrupt governments can find money to live more than luxurious lives but not for providing the nation with basic necessities of life.
