... of itself. But when this is observed the electron goes through a straight path and makes the pattern expected on the other end of the slitted screen. Our observation alters the electrons. So the same premise would suggest that the next room that no one is currently in is infinite potential, until someone's observation perceives it to be the room.

I don't think consciousness creates, but it seems to alter what happens. I've been looking in to the measurement problem recently and the double slit experiment. When electrons are fired through a screen with 2 slits they create an interference pattern as if they have bounced off each other like waves. Even when the electrons were fired one at a time, they made the pattern, which means the particle would have to become a wave of potential and go through both slits at the same time and bounce....

and identity (what you encountered) could hardly be termed creation...

Metaphysics originally (for Aristotle) meant "the study of first causes," but somewhere along the line was mistranslated as "study of that beyond the physical," and so became associated with supernaturalism and all things generally seen as unscientific. I do like to distinguish between science and metaphysics, but not because metaphysics are not important (indeed, they are most important).

I think they had an advantage that we do not have. A natural one. Care to venture?

I see no reason why ancient geniousouses could not have come to understand the nature of the universe using their own methods and logic. Just because they didnt have atom smashers and digital watches doesnt mean they were stupid!
I'll listen to that video again, it's been a while, and I'll post a video response to tell you what I think. Glad you brought this up!

Thanks for the readings. The poem you read is amazing, BTW. If you haven't already watched it again, note for future reference what Aurobindo says about the northern lights. He ends the chapter "...and through the splendor of that light may lie the path of our progressive self-enlargement into whatever highest state is humanity's ultimate resting place." This is so so important, Matt. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention.
