  • This piece is always my favorite of yours.

  • All credit to Rachmaninov though. He really put all his soul into this composition. You can sense his nostalgia, his profound love for Russia. I consider it the best work that he wrote.

  • This is a transcription of Rachmaninov's last work...the Symphonic Dances, the Waltz movement. It is mysterious and unalterably sad. Rachmaninov struggled with this work and admitted after it was orchestrated that he was "exhausted."
