2/3 Taken from the DVD 'Grimm Tales by Candlelight' this is the second part of 3 of the story of the 'Golden Goose'. As with a lot of the stories collected by the Grimm brothers there is an element of the story which questions the given structure of society. The youngest son has to contend with the deviousness of the innkeeper and the pompousnous of his family and the clergy. This story is not quite as gruesome or explicit as some of the other stories on the DVD; "One eye, 2 eyes and three eyes", "Godfather Death" and "The Glass coffin" but it has a great depth to the content that shows how good can overcome adversity and those that you can meet on the road.
