This is as good as it gets from where we live when it comes to viewing the Space Shuttle launches - no way am I going to get into those traffic jams after the launch! The second part of the video will hopefully capture the sound of the engines - we are pretty near 40 miles from the Cape and it still rattles the windows of my house! I only wish my son Daniel and his fiance Sonya and her friend Holly could have been here to witness this spectacular sight. Daniel and the girls had to leave here Saturday morning to head back to Barksdale AFB for Daniel to make final preparations for deployment to Afganistan. He will be there for six months - hopefully President Obama will pull all of our troops out of there before his time is up now that Osama is dead.
