At Manchester EGCC the Jet2/Channex 792
made an amusing comment, which wasn't only funny, but soo true. That day at manchester was really rainy and windy, however when the Jet2 landed, it had stopped raining, but the pilots obviously saw on the weather radar a big patch of terrential rain or bad weather approaching the airport, and they were not at all wrong! It did actually start p*ssing it down 10 minutes later.

  • Haha this is great. I love listening to EGCC ground at about 10AM when it's really busy and all the American flights are taxiing the wrong way and making jokes.

'American 55, you've taken the wrong taxiway'

'Yes, so what do you suggest we do now?'

    'Standby!'

  • It was indeed. A friend, who is an easyJet skipper, heard it, recognised my voice and then phoned me to tell me about it. Very weird hearing yourself on playback!

  • @noddy737 And some more people who know to crop us some astonoshing bullshit.

  • I met the controler in the tower, she called samantha :)

  • Wow, that's incredible. You probably get asked this all the time and as such I apologise but would you mind telling me how you did your training? I.e where and when etc. Thank you very much and happy flying, even when you're getting rained on :)

  • Wow, thanks for putting up a comment. I guessed it was a 737, because there was a 757 landing just after, I could remember if it was the 737 or the 757?? Tom

  • It wasnt really was it?

  • Man I found it really hard to hear the audio, might've been the accent :(

  • Normally you would be correct but on this occasion, it was the Captain. How do I know? Errrr - it was me.

  • It'd have been the first officer.
