Specifications:

- Meanwell RSP-2400-24 power supply (220VAC - 28VDC rectifier) 2.4 kW
- Two 1000W iChargers, 10 cell capability.
- Pelican 1550 hard case
- eBay 4.4kW portable generator for use at the field
- Hyperion battery checker

UPDATE:

Meanwell 3000W 28V power supply
2 x Cellpro Power Lab 8 chargers

The idea behind this beast, was to have less battery packs, but of higher standard (thunderpower for example) and then charge them very quick. They can handle the cycle life and hold their voltage much higher under load (found this out from personal experience, trying many different battery brands)

  • Since making this video I have installed a 3000W 28V Meanwell power supply - along with two Cellpro Power Lab 8 chargers. I can now successfully charge a battery in 3.5 minutes, with a 4 minute balance time (total 7:30). This was a 6S TP5000 65C pack at 40 amps. A firmware update is coming soon, and it will allow charging at 50 amps. So stay tuned for a new better charging station video people. Cheers! Luke

  • @cruddbucket So the only benefit of the new setup is quicker charging time?

  • @mattamiller Yup :)

  • how much for kit

  • @lashoer25 $1400 AUD not including portable generator

  • Nice work, 24 volts is a safe bet, along with the mid expensive, very usable ichargers, I love my 3010. Just wondering, are you not parallell charging mate?

  • @applyapology Cheers, I am not parallel charging because I prefer each pack to be individually balanced. I do however have the boards required should I ever need to do it. 3010 is a great charger indeed. I can't wait until there is a charger out there that can pump out 60 amps at 6S voltage!
