The people of Mexico were promised a beautiful new Basilica in honor of Our Lady of Guadalupe. The people sacrificed to pay for it. What a dissapointment when this ugly cement monstrousity was completed. It is pathetic and not an honor to Our Most Holy Mother.

@queeng1998 Thanks for your comment. I actually agree that the new basilica is too modern looking for the space. I probably will not call it a monstrosity, but I too wish that it is more like the others in the square. More than the building though, I think the honor go that goes to Our Blessed Mother is more on the many beautiful people that visit her in the shrine, "building appropriate" or not.

@hapipadi Yes I agree. I guess no matter what the building looks like. The presence of Our Most Holy Lady of Guadalupe is still there, and her beauty
is far more imortant than the building. By the way I think you done a great job in your presentation, I enjoyed it very much.
