This video shows a 3D animation model of "The Mice" (also known as NGC 4676), a pair of colliding galaxies in the constellation of Coma Berenices. The video ends with an original astronomical image of "The Mice" taken by the Hubble Space Telescope. According to NASA, these colliding galaxies have been nicknamed "The Mice" because of the long tails of stars and gas emanating from each galaxy. CREDITS: Animation by ESA/Hubble (M. • AR - you have provided information re: the VST and the VLT (dimensions, mirror size, etc.) Would you happen to know the specifics of the Hubble telescope?

  • @laelamarie1: I find the information about the HST on Wikipedia very reliable. Cheers!
