For step 3, I tell you to look on the top layer EDGE positions for edge pieces which DO NOT HAVE YELLOW on them. But occasionally, you may notice that the middle edges have not all been placed correctly and there are NO pieces up top that do not have yellow.

In this video, I will demonstrate a case which one of my viewers spikyspanky1 came across. Other people have also mentioned that they experienced a similar situation.

Hope this helps those who may come across a case like this one.

  • You tell us not to touch the edges that has any form of yellow on it, now i have the choice following your steps and getting a mirrored version of how it should be put in, or moving a yellow, which was not allowed, i can't kick a yellow out because that means i have to move a yellow.. this middle part seriously makes me want to hammer my head on the cube untill either breaks =_=

  • every time i do it i end up getting something like the sides were they are suppose to connect have yellow in it and when i place another edge piece in the right spot it kicks one out but the one that was already right

  • it worked for me after many attemps thanx

  • thx

  • I had this same problem thank you very much for all your videos

  • This video is super useful, because I had the same situation with two edge pieces as well and was confused as what to do next, but now I successfully have solved the first two layers, and actually understand why and how the move to get there. Thanks! :)

  • Thanks very much! i had the exact same situation ;) now i got all the white side with all the 2 layered colors correctly

  • Or you can do the algorithm that goes with that piece that is like that making it easier and quicker so if that piece in in the midle right layer just do the right algorithm and the piece is placed on the top and it doesn't mess up wat u already have

  • helppp mee!!! i have the bottom of the rubix all white then the corner pieces of the whites do not line up with 2 of the centre pieces! the white green lines up with the green centre, the white orange lines up with the orange centre but the white red lines up with the blue centre and white blue with the red centre! how do i fix that?! please help :)

  • Thanks so much for this extra post, thats exactly what happened to me but i fixed it yahhh
