One extra funny part is when he mentions the "32,000 scientists" who are skeptical of global warming. Good fun. Good fun.

  • Can we expect a counter-response?

  • Would you like one? I haven't even watched his response video. I'll check it out and respond, but I'm guessing it's a waste of time. If you want a response let me know. I'm game.

  • Yeah, Advocate1234 is an idiot, so much so that I devoted a video to addressing his ridiculous arguments. 5 stars, brother.

  • Would you mind sending me a link to the video you did?

  • you rock

  • Thanks!

  • Advocate1234 is someone who thinks that Sarah Palin is a genius and that Noam Chomsky and Michael Parenti are "intellectual lightweights".

That should tell you all you need to know about him.

  • That's a very good point, buddhagem. Many people on the right, like the Advocate, seem to overlook the fact that leftists are constantly under attack by the right. The many tactics have included brute force, slander, name-calling, conspiracy theories and exploiting the failures and crimes of various left-wing movements and societies. Even I feel scared now and worry that, although I am a leftist at heart, I can't express those tendencies because I will get beaten down for it. Any advice?

  • @Joszuaprocess how is that a contradiction????

  • @randomguyrandomstuff if there is a huge surplus of those things, why shouldn't everyone be entitled to them? in other words, why should i starve in an overly productive society while you eat enough food to feed yourself beyond being full with every meal, and half of the food you consume goes partially un-eaten and goes to waste? i am by no means a communist (though i am a socialist), but it is a question to think about and it helps you understand communist reasoning quite well.

  • @DetectiveTackett democrats are center right, meaning they are very supportive of private property rights (not to be confused with personal property rights) and big business as well as business hierarchies. most people support small businesses and a more balanced and even distribution of wealth, making the people much farther left-wing, indeed.

  • @buddhagem 2 years and still no word on a response? i'd be intrigued to hear what you would have to say to his response :D

  • I am underwhelmed by your ability to debate. You didn't really address many of his questions. You responded to what he said but didn't really directly argue against any of his points. And have you actually read the Employee Free Choice Act? I wasn't convinced of that.

  • Liar? Or just ignorant?

Really... The idea the American people are to the *left* of the Democrat Party is just insane.

Not to mention -- his version of economic history is economically illiterate.

  • Actually its more accurate to call it a plutocracy or even a 'polyarchy', Robert Dahl's phrase. You state :"...contribute volunarily, not force others", well that doesn't answer the question, what if that is not enough? what if that is not enough and people starve, suffer, denied critical health care, etc...? Your principles (as with most libertarian principles) seem to me rather weak and childish.

  • If you are for that you should contribute voluntarily, not force others to. The government is inefficient in everything it does, fraud and waste is rampant. Also, the USA is a republic not a democracy.
