Tim Hetherington is a photographer, and filmmaker. Here he is interviewed by young people on an introductory film and editing course I taught. The young people came up with questions for the interview, and filmed and edited this clip. More clips of Tim Hetherington here. http://www.youtube.com/user/trebletrubble
This clip begins with footage Tim shot of Freetown in Sierra Leone. This was edited by a student.

@mrconcept I think it's highly naive of you to think all wars are down to oil. I think that our countries are taking action because they see that they have the ability to end to the conflict. It's unlikely that any of the Arab nations surrounding Libya were ever likely to intervene... but in hindsight, we (as with Afghanistan) don't have an exit strategy and once again are drawn into a war we know we can't escape. But I'm pretty sure that with the support of other UN members we'll 'win'.

@timbotones24794 - Yes...It's not our responsibility or right to police the world, even when we try to make ourselves feel more justified about it by acting as a united nation. Even if you consider invading someone elses country to be for the greater good, thats not the reason why our governments are doing it. I highly doubt Tim or any other Journalists out there believe this either. Some research and once again its down to Oil.

@mrconcept POINTLESSNESS?! The saving of hundreds if not thousands of civilian lives. I'm sure Tim wouldn't have thought it pointless if he was risking his life to document it.

RIP Tim. Such a shame considering the pointlessness of the war.
