There is a big mistake at 1:26:
At 150 knot that is not 146 seconds later, but 1 minute and 46 seconds, that is 106 second later!

Aside from this excellent collection, if you'd like to see this in action, might I be so bold as to suggest visiting my channel. Professional, real-time walk-through educational videos on the PMDG 747 in FSX. Not all about graphics, but purely eyes-in with different (user requested) flights demonstrating (user-requested) things!

Hi therem just one question, im on a star chart for TOMMO at london heathrow airport, there is two waypoints i need to get through, however if i out the first waypoint, and then the second, it will just fly there directly, but between the two waypoints there is a curve, to curve it into position to hit they waypoint and i dont know how to add it into the FMC to do that method, do you? any help would be very apprectiated

Verry nice videos!! Congrats
I have a question, with the pilots doing all these charts by them self what is ATC's actual job? Other than clearance for Takeoff and landing and emergency procedures

@Sarpooll Notice that only busy airports have SID and STAR charts. There is just to much traffic for ATC to be vectoring everyone so the charts were set up so that everyone enters and leaves a certain way. ATC will of course provide clearances and seperation but they do expect you at get yourself where you need to be using the chart.

@WTurbiasz So your saying that an airport like TNCM that doesnt have a STAR (and a ILS system) would that mean the pilot takes off and heads direct to its first way point?
Sarpooll 1 year ago
@Sarpooll An aiport like that which is not very busy would get vectored in by ATC. Usually within 20 miles ATC would tell you where and what altitude they want you at.

Well, I watched all four videos and now I need to watch them about ten times over again. lol. I try to fly in flight sim as real as possible, so this helps. There is A LOT to learn! WOW! Trying to get to the point where everything is second nature.
Are pilots required to know morse code? I find it would help me in flight sim to make sure that I'm tunned to the right VOR or localizer. lol. If so, is there a great way of learning? Almost got my ham radio lic. Failed the test. lol

No pilots dont need to know morse code. Its not even required for Ham Radio anymore. As far as the Ham test get a study book, the questions never change so whats in the book is whats on the test.
