On April 24th at 1AM startled Stewart Creek neighbors were awakened by the glow and crackling of an inferno. This is what they witnessed. The early-morning fire caused millions of dollars worth of damage, destroying at least three luxury condo buildings in Canmore, Alberta on Saturday.
"It's probably the highest dollar-loss fire in Canmore (history)," said assistant fire chief Mike Bergstrom.

A lot of people LOST money from the buildings being burnt. No i am not talking about the 'rich calgarians' as most of the units had not even been sold yet...
I doubt anyone working on the project would start the fire. Most of them never even got paid for the work that they did, and most likely never will.

@outdoorlife25 I knew a guy that had pre-purchased a condo in there and months before the fire and himself along with other people locked into purchases were really scared because of major financial losses they were forseeing. I heard the night of the fire the only person in any of the buildings that burned was a guy working on the project, go figure. It seems like insurance fraud. I wonder if someone got paid off! I'm pretty sure some people saved a lot of money with these buildings burning.
