The sound of thunder came one second after the flash, which means its impact would have to be roughly 300 yards away from the camera, somewhere behind the trees in the background. That's the smaller strike you can see for a couple of frames, and then there there's the close one which you can see for just one frame which I believe is a special effect. If it were real the audio would be different and we would definitely see a reaction from the cameraman.
