A truly sensational film about a transitional time in America back then. At the infancy of our 'great industrial age' to come. They were building the 'nations electrical grid' that would power the USA factories for our Golden Years to come. Them transmission lines are now antiquated and could use revamping BTW. Some wires in this country were installed about the time of this movie and even before and have not been touched since.

I saw this great film on Million Dollar Movie back in the mid 1950's. Million Dollar Movie was on Channel 9 (WOR) in New York City and used to repeat the week's movie over and over and over again. This movie touched me very deeply and I've loved Henry Fonda ever since. If you ever get a chance to see it, try overcome the 1930's sentimentality that is so sappy for today's audience. You have to put yourself back in a depression (or post depression) state of mind to appreciate its beauty.
you can buy the movie on ebay
