A time-lapse of the 2009 Peterborough Beer Festival. Towards the end you can see my attempt at a 180 degree time-lapse panorama of the festival. Filmed on the embankment next to the River Nene on the 26 and 27th of August using time-lapse software for mobile phones, available to download and use for free from: http://www.andysoftware.co.uk

  • Nicely donw!

  • Thank you

  • wow, these beer festivals look interesting !! and so is this video. watching it all through, different shots an locations its pretty good! Hey ive seen a few timelaps videos where they do kind of the same thing like at the end of this, where they like rotate the cam 360 etc, good technique but looks hard to get it right!!

  • That was quick, I've only just posted it! Yes, I really like the 360 effects in time-lapse but it didn't work very well for me. I did it manually on a tripod while stood in the middle of the festival. I got a few funny looks. I had to run a motion blur filter on it twice to smooth it out which makes it look a bit better and gives a slight effect of drunkeness at the end :)

  • Yeah, must of been good timing. There is a motor or something that you can buy, where it'll slowly rotate the cam for you so it gives that same effect, but i've no idea where to get them from, would make the whole thing easier to do ! Oh yeah, looks like beer vision doesnt it xD haha!

  • I was going to say that someone on youtube used a cheap analogue eggtimer to rotate the camera. You can pick them up for a fiver so I might give it a go at some point.

  • cool.

  • Yeah I had thought about using an egg timer a while back, but never got around to hunt for an old one, big enough to be able to hold the phone as it rotates.. deffinatley worth a try!
